The temperatureerature for storage is
Upon receipt, aliquot and store the 8-OHdG Standard at -20ºC and the 8-OHdG Conjugate at -80ºC to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Store all other components at 4ºC.
Storage
Human ELISAs or ELISA kits will be stored at +4°C. The expiry date is mostly determined by the standard stability. If your ELISA kit is expired we can supply a new standard so it will still be functional.
Use of the reagent
Among numerous types of oxidative DNA damage, 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) is a ubiquitous marker of oxidative stress. 8-OHdG, one of the byproducts of oxidative DNA damage, is physiologically formed and enhanced by chemical carcinogens. Our OxiSelect™ Oxidative DNA Damage ELISA test kit (8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine assay) provides a powerful method for rapid, sensitive quantification of 8-OHdG in DNA samples.
Description
A microtiter plate (spelled Microtiter is a registered trade name in the United States) or microplate or micro well plate or multiwell, is a flat plate with multiple "wells" used as small test tubes. The microplate has become a standard tool in analytical research and clinical diagnostic testing laboratories. A very common usage is in the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), the basis of most modern medical diagnostic testing in humans and animals.
A microplate typically has 6, 24, 96, 384 or 1536 sample wells arranged in a 23 rectangular matrix. Some microplates have even been manufactured with 3456 or 9600 wells, and an "array tape" product has been developed that provides a continuous strip of microplates embossed on a flexible plastic tape.
